Fantastic Destination for Flyers & Non-Flyers

Babu's place at Sirkot is simply amazing..after an hour-long cross-country driving from Waling which is in itself nothing short of a memorable rollercoster ride, you are greeted by amazing views of mountains wider than your eyes can see. You are then spoiled by the local delicacies prepared by Babu's team as you laze into the night with a glass of whiskey with Babu's stories of hair-raising adventures!

Babu is a world class paraglider who won the National Geographic Adventurer 2012 along with Lhakpa Sherpa for their summit to sea adventure. If you are a paraglider, this is an ideal place to enhance your thermalling skills and a cross-country route into Pokhara. Babu offers his guidance both to novices and experienced pilots and I was fortunate enough to fly with him during my stay there.

The accommodation is of a very high standard with communal shower and toilet facilities. Tucked under the hill are a number of cozy rooms which are a level below the restaurant with easy access. Babu will adjust the accommodation to your request if you let him know in advance if you intend to take your family.

The sunrise view from this resort is another amazing feature and this had undeniably been the best sunrise I have seen so far. As the valley wakes up below a layer of clouds, the orange ball of the sun rises just above these clouds setting a magical scene.

I would recommend this place to anyone for an experience of a lifetime. You will be mesmerised by the views, spoilt by the local food and if you are a paraglider, you will take away with you an amazing memories of the terraced valleys over which you will fly.
